The Rocky River Run is Rockhampton and Central Queensland's biggest fun run.

The Rocky River Run returns on Sunday, 17 May 2026, bringing the community together for one of Central Queensland’s biggest annual running events. Whether you’re chasing a PB, running with mates, or enjoying a fun morning out with the family, this year’s event is set to be one of our most exciting yet.

Run, walk, wheel or stroll your way along the beautiful Fitzroy River (Tunuba), starting and finishing at the Rockhampton Riverside Precinct. Participants can choose from 21.1km, 10km, 5km or 2km distances, all designed to be scenic, fast, and enjoyable for every fitness level.

Team participation continues to be one of the most fun ways to experience Rocky River Run. Workplaces, schools, sporting groups, families, and friends can all get involved together. Team registration details will be available when entries open.
